Hungarian Parliament tickets sold out? Here is what to do
Visits to the Parliament in Budapest, with the Holy Crown of Hungary, often sell out weeks ahead. Sold out is rarely final: cancelled and returned tickets go back on sale every day, and they go within minutes.

We check the official shop every few minutes and email you when a slot opens. Free, no account.
Buy only from the official shop
Tickets for the visit are sold online by jegymester.hu, the official ticket shop of the Parliament. Sites that resell plain entry tickets charge much more. Guided tours from tour companies are a separate product (see Plan B below).
Why sold-out dates open up again
People cancel, groups return unused places, and new time slots are added. Those tickets go straight back on sale on jegymester.hu, at random times of the day, without any announcement. A date that shows sold out today may have free places tomorrow morning.
How to catch a returned ticket
- Check often. A few times a day, every day until your trip. Early morning and evening are easy times to check.
- Or let us check for you. Our free alert looks at the shop every few minutes and emails you the moment your date has a free slot.
- Be ready to pay. Have your card at hand and know how many tickets of which type you need. Returned tickets often sell out again within minutes.
- Be flexible. Pick several possible days. Any time slot works, because you choose the audio language on site.

What the visit is like
Public visits are audio-guided: you pick your audio language on site. You see the grand staircase, the Dome Hall with the Holy Crown of Hungary and the old Upper House chamber. Visits start at the Visitor Centre on Kossuth Lajos tér; arrive a little early for the security check. There are no visits on some days, for example 24 to 26 December.
Plan B: a guided tour
Tour companies also sell guided Parliament tours that include entry. They cost more, but they often still have places when official tickets are gone: tours on GetYourGuide, tours on Viator. These are affiliate links: we get a small commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.
